Introduction

The Santa Clara City Public Safety Department is a progressive department striving to deliver quality and personal services to Santa Clara residents and people visiting the community. Officers handle criminal investigations, traffic control/enforcement, and a juvenile division for school resource. In addition, code enforcement officers handle City code violations and animal control. Current staffing consists of four patrol officers, one school resource officer, one full-time code enforcement /animal control officer, and one detective. The office support staff consists of one full-time clerk.

The Santa Clara City Public Safety Department’s mission is to provide the highest quality of Public Safety service to citizens and visitors of Santa Clara City.

“We will strive to ensure public peace by: preventing crime; detecting and arresting criminal offenders; protecting life, property and the rights of all persons; regulating and controlling traffic; maintaining police and fire records and communications; and by providing animal services and other responsibilities as indicated by statute, City ordinance, or Department directives.”

Neighborhood Watch

Santa Clara City's Neighborhood Watch program is managed by City Detective, Lance Williamson.  For more information regarding this program, please call the public safety administration office at 652-1122.
